Co-ops and Internships

For undergrads and grad students, GSK is looking for co-ops and interns in medicinal chemistry – more details.

As members of the Philadelphia Section of the ACS, we shall abide by the Chemists’ Code of Conduct which states in part that “Chemical professionals should seek to advance chemical science while striving for the highest standards of scientific integrity. Chemical professionals should treat others with respect and will not engage in discrimination, harassment, bullying, dishonesty, fraud, misrepresentation, coercive manipulation, censorship, or other misconduct. Such actions apply to all professional, research, and learning environments.”

Volunteer

The Communications Committee is seeking volunteers. The committee oversees the content and production of the Catalyst, content of the Web site, and other aspects of communication for the Philadelphia Local Section. If interested in joining the committee please contact the section office by phone (215-898-6042) or email (PhilaACS@gmail.com).

The Philadelphia Local Section is constantly looking for volunteers. There are many elected offices that need volunteers to run for and some examples are: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Board of Directors, Councilors, etc.

The section newsletter, the Catalyst, can always use more people. There are several events throughout the year such as, P.A.G.E.S.TM, National Chemistry Week, judging at Science Fairs, etc that always need volunteers.

Check the pages on this Web site for additional information about these events and other areas where volunteers are needed. Please send an email to PhilaACS@gmail.com to offer your services.
